Located at the Djurs Sommerland amusement park at Jylland, Denmark it is built by Intamin AG and is the longest roller coaster of Denmark. It uses a tire propelled launch that begins when the train runs over a constantly spinning tire. Nyhed Juvelin translates to the jewel and the theme of this ride is an off road trek through the Mayan jungles aboard all terrain vehicle cars featuring side banks of 80 degrees and two insane launches as part of the quest for lost Mayan treasure through waterfalls, Mayan temples and jungles making it exciting as well as picturesque!

Themed to NASCAR racing legend Dake Earnhardt, it was opened in 2010. Designed by Intramin, it has a drop of 300 metres at a killer 85 degree at a speed of 140kmph to take your breath away after the ascension to the first hill at 305 feet. This is followed immediately by a 270 degree turn before the climb to the 150 foot hill which gives ample airtime, succeeded by high speed bunny hop and another rapid turn.3 sharp twists and a final accelerated turn it ascends two successive airtime hills it has another sharp twist followed by a twisty bunny hop into the magnetic brakes. Colossal and imposing it literally takes your breath away with its intensity and speed.

The longest roller coaster in the world, this 2478.99 m ride is a good 4 minutes of a pure unadulterated amusement for all you adventurous thrill seekers. Located at Nagashima spa land in Nagashima, Japan; It uses a traditional one lift with two chain life launch system of which the first is moved by a 300 horsepower motor. Slowly building up an atmosphere of suspense with a slow lift, the 68 degree plunge 310 feet down will take your breath away. The next lift is the camelback hump after which is the third and final lift with a fall of 200 feet which is followed by a combination of gripping turns and twists first sweeping up and around the right then to the left. Swerving around a hair raising U turn, the ride then proceeds over 8 hops followed by some travel time in a pitch black tunnel and finally these 4 minutes of overwhelming fun come to an end, back at the station.

Holding the record for the most number of inversions In the world with 14 heart stopping loops, the Smiler opened on may 2013 at Alton Towers in Staffordshire, United Kingdom. Featuring two lift hills, one of which is a sloped lift hill and the other is a stupendous vertical lift hill. After the start off the coaster it immediately encounters a drop of 180 degrees to the left mid way through which it sweeps into the first inversion where the roller coaster rotates by 360 degrees called the heartline roll and after a brief stop on block brakes atop the first hill it then drops to a 180 degree turn to the right before banking onto the next inversion, a downward corkscrew where riders are inverted at a point angled 90 degrees horizontally from the track which is followed by a steep drop into two dive loops which are inversions where the track twists upwards to the side diving towards the bottom in a half vertical loop. The heart shaped inversion named the batwing is the next inversion which provides ample airtime after which it reaches another set of block brakes before another corkscrew. After ascending the vertical lift hill the coaster drops 180 degrees to the left again into a downward corkscrew followed by a reverse sidewinder before a sidewinder called the serpent roll. The second airtime hill is the next post which the coaster does a cobra roll described as an upwards half vertical loop, followed by a perpendicular corkscrew followed by another corkscrew merging into a downward half vertical loop exiting parallel to the entrance. A couple of corkscrews more and a 180 degree left turn is the final installment of this guaranteed screamer. With the description itself inciting much excitement, the ride will make you more than just smile!

Located in the Fuji-Q Highland theme park in Fujiyoshida Japan it is famous for its 121 degree drop angle which makes it the world’s steepest roller coaster. Officially unveiled for public use in June 2011, this custom Gerstlauer Euro fighter roller coaster is a 1000 metre ride with a top height of 141 metres that can accelerate to a speed of 100 kmph or 62mph in 2 seconds flat! Two minutes of mayhem, it begins directly with a sudden dive into a tunnel of darkness before a 360 degree roll called a heartline roll followed by a rapid launch down a 63 metres tunnel at the top speed of 100kmph exiting into a hill with a 90 degree ascent and descent called a top hat inversion. This is followed by a banana roll, a new insane inversion which is a combination of a cobra roll and an overbanked turn, a corkscrew and two hills providing airtime. The coaster returns to the station after slowing down on block brakes, but it doesn’t end here. After a sharp turn 180 degrees to the right and back out the building, it ascends the vertical lift hill up 43 metres after which riders experience the mind boggling 121 degree steep drop followed by a dive loop , an inline loop and finally an immelmann loop.
