India is a vast country with a total of 29 states and 14 union territories. It is known for its rich heritage, history and geographical diversity. Every state has its own beauty and is different in its culture, traditions, monuments, people, flora and the fauna, food and language. To choose few states is to ask a mother to choose her favorite child. However, here are ten states of India which are little more beautiful in their culture and heritage than others:
10. West Bengal
Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal has been known as the city of joy, the Cultural Capital of India, City of Palaces etc. It all comes from the numerous lavish mansions built all over the city. The architectural variety here is in European style and it’s tastes are imported by the British. Long known as the “Cultural Capital of India” for its vibrant culture ranging from customs to arts, journalism to sciences, games to politics, drama theatre to movies. It is a home to the famous Bengal Renaissance like Raja Rammohan Roy, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo, and countless others. “Land of the Gods” – the Devbhumi is the other name for Himachal Pradesh. It is famous for its beautiful its Himalayan landscapes and hill-stations. It is a hill state in India with breathtaking pristine natural beauty. From enormous tracts of Himalayan desert to dense deodar forests, from snow capped Himalayan ranges to snow fed lakes and talkative rivers from apple orchards to cultivated terraces ones gets to experience all over here. Known as “The Heaven on Earth”, the beauty of Kashmir with its emerald green valley, the sparkling blue skies, the beautiful snow capped mountains in the lap of Himalayas is simply breath-taking. It has always been praised for its aesthetic beauty. Tourism is a vital part of Kashmir’s economy.
